About the Aniston Archive

The Aniston Archive is, in large part, the result of my fascination with the celebrity of Jennifer Aniston. In the span of time represented by this collection she has likely been the most photographed person on the planet.

The reasons for her photographic popularity are obvious, but it was her flawless performance in The Good Girl that elevated the ambitions of this collection to archive status. Though recognized worldwide, she remains, in my view, underrated as an actress.

Not all of the images that I receive are added to the Archive. The criteria for inclusion are relevance and quality. Images made from motion picture frames, videotape, or television broadcasts are rarely included as they usually fail to meet either of these standards.

When multiple versions of the same image are available the one of higher quality is included. The weaker image may still warrant inclusion if it is of greater scope. In either case, a high standard of quality is enforced.

Only thumbnails of the Archive are offered on this website as I hold neither publication rights nor licenses to any of these images. The site is intended only as a reference for fellow collectors who seek to identify the time and/or place that a specific image of Ms. Aniston was created.

The Original

The source image used to make the composite photo on the home page was lensed by architectural photographer Charles E. Rotkin in 1959 at New Martinsville, West Virginia.
